We've Arrived in Peru

Just a quick post to let everyone at home know that we have arrived safely and without incident here in Lima, Peru. We are both very tired after three flights and nine hours of flying time today but feel very comfortable at the Kusillius Hostel we are staying at in the Miraflores district of Lima. Tomorrow will bring our first taste of South America as we explore the city and taste some of the foods. We did make a quick visit to a local supermarket to pick up some bottled water and had fun strolling the aisles looking at the different foodstuffs and vegetables. There were a lot of varieties of potatoes, beans and rice and the prices were great; every American dollar equals about double the amount in the local Peruvian soles. Since we arrived well past sunset our photo from the Ottawa Airport this morning at 6:00 am will have to suffice for today's post. Buenos noches!
